Recorded as having a church in Domesday, St Catherine’s church Littleton, contains a wonderful Norman font
St Catherine’s church at Littleton is one of Hampshire’s shy little churches, sitting on a rise of ground above the road, it would be easy to pass by. Domesday records a church being in Littleton in 1086. The current church was built in the C13th century on the Norman or possibly Anglo Saxon foundation.
In the churchyard a simple headstone records the burial of Temperance, wife of Richard Fifield who died in 1686.
