An interesting photograph of Castle House Petersfield
Castle House (covered in foliage) was a fine Tudor mansion, wonderfully described in the Victoria County History. The house was demolished in about 1906.
It is thought that Samuel Pepys stayed at Castle House as did King Charles II and his mistress Louise de Kerouaille.
